About Will

Will Lopez is a professional musician based in Frederick, MD. He has performed across the country with several nationally recognized artists, such as Philadelphia based Hip Hop artist G Love, American Idol contestant Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon, Annapolis based reggae band Bumpin Uglies. He has shared the stage with countless names at numerous festivals and venues across the country. Will holds a degree in Music Education from Shepherd University, and has studied under some of the finest musicians in the United States, including Jeremy Koch on saxophone, Dave Marsh on bass, Ronnie Younkins on guitar, and Kurtis Adams for jazz and improvisation. Will has worked for over a decade as a live and studio recording technician, running sound for internationally touring acts throughout the DMV area.

Currently, Will spends most of his time touring the world with Bumpin Uglies. When he’s home, Will runs Dymaxion Recording Studios, a professional recording studio in Rockville, MD, as the chief producer, recording, and mixing engineer. He also has a small studio of private students, and offers one off lessons on a number of different instruments and musical techniques.

In his free time, Will enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, running, sailing, and just generally traveling the world with his girlfriend Amanda. His favorite book is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, his favorite movie is The Magnificent Seven, and he doesn’t have a favorite color.
